PUBLIC MEETING

A public meeting to share:

- the highlights from the Village Plan
- Redrow appeal update
- Hawarden Road update
- Hanson Cement update
- New School update

The village plan (Place Plan) sets out the areas for improvement that came from the village Questionnaire - including capturing our history, improving sports facilities, open space, footpaths, public transport, dog poo bins, sorting out traffic calming, improving the public buildings, maybe new business space and even a better location for the shop? And of course, a plan to control how much and what type of housing we have.

Come and hear a bit more about it and how it might affect you!

Carl Sargeant AM Surgery

Our local Welsh Assembly Member, Carl Sargeant AM will be holding is regular surgery in the village on the 11th November.

Carl is currently the minister responsible for Communities which is relevant but was previously minister responsible for Planning and oversaw the introduction of TAN1, the legislation which is affecting us.

We would like Carl to represent our interests at the Welsh Assembly to encourage the planning inspectors to protect our village from overdevelopment. We need as many people as possible to attend this surgery so that Carl understands the strength of feeling in the village.

Penyffordd Against Redrow Public Meeting

This is a public meeting to share the plans for our defence at the Planning Committee - we have 3 minutes only to represent the objections of the villagers. Our two County Councillors have a further 5 minutes each to represent our views. At this meeting we will share how we plan to use this time to the best and welcome feedback.

The future of the whole village is under threat from development and our best protection is to create a Local Development Plan which sets out how we want our village to develop in the coming years. That is not just for housing but in every way. It is vital that we hear as many voices as possible from the village and know what people believe are the issues for our village.

The meeting will take place at the Royal British Legion at 8:00pm.
